The past 24 hours have been a real doozy...
- Last night I heard O yelling "off!" in her crib for a good 30 minutes. I finally went in to check on her and she was down to one arm left in her jammies, frantically trying to get it off. So THAT'S why there's that little tab at the top of the pajamas. Lesson learned.
- A few weeks ago, I was out with some "mom friends" and one told us a lovely story of her son illustrating the ABC's above his crib with his, well, poop. Fast forward to this morning, when Olivia comes running down the hall yelling "hand, hand!" (she hates it when she gets her hands dirty). As she got closer I noticed that she had brown all over her hands, face, belly, and legs. And then the smell hit. That's right, she gave herself a full-body poop rubdown. SO GROSS. We'll be wearing onesies for a while now.
- She split her lip open becauase she fell off of a chair and whacked a table.
- A little buddy used her head as a drum, complete with a drumstick.
So that's what's been going on here! And because a blog post isn't a proper blog post without photos, here's some shots from the birthday party we went to this morning...
O made fast friends with the dogs. They loved her. Can you guess why?

Grilled cheese, fork-style. My child is so proper.

The adorable birthday girl, Eva...

Playtime with buddies.

The silver lining to all of the mayhem is that O finally "gets" playgroup and spent the morning playing with her buddies (instead of clinging to me for dear life). Yay!
