30,000?!?

Our little family blog has reached over 30,000 hits! I'm pretty sure that several thousand of those come from my mom, who is a self-admitted Olivia stalker ;).

However, we're pretty curious about who else is reading! So the question of the day is: who are you people? Drop us a comment and let us know (even if we don't know you, we're okay with that too :).

Thanks for stopping by! It's so much fun to share Oliva's first months with you all.

On another note, Doug's friends Dax and Christina sent Livvy some awesome one-of-a-kind babywear. MAG 5 is the name of Doug's riding group, and they have a logo they've created that they're put on stickers and other things. This group of guys is very important to Doug, and Livvy feels so special to be an honorary member of the group :).

Yep, she's still after those darn feet...

Got Milk?

If we could read Livvy's mind, I'm pretty sure that it would sound something like this...

Got milk?

Hey you, up there, are you going to feed me or what?

How about now?

Hi feet! Can I eat you?

(Notice the awesome trail of spit bubbles? Sweet.)

Daddy! Can you hook me up with something to eat?

Wheeee! This is almost as good as milk. Almost.

Doug asked me the other day if I was perhaps feeding her TOO much. I started cracking up... when she was first born his main concern was that she wasn't eating enough, and now he's worried that I'm overfeeding her. I told him that babies eat whenever they're hungry and stop when they're full. However, if she still has rolls like this by the time she's going into kindergarten then we'll have to talk :)

Saturday

A few random pics I snapped yesterday...

Bathtime!

Dad and daughter watching the M's. Pretty sure that Livvy was the cutest fan in the ballpark! (Until she had a total meltdown at 9pm. Then she wasn't so cute anymore.)

(excuse the somewhat fuzzy iPhone pic, I forgot the camera)

Water Baby

"Up in the hot tub, poppin bubbly"... can you name the song??? (I'll give you a hint: Big Pun).

We took miss Olivia into the hot tub, and we've discovered that she's quite the water baby! It took her a bit of getting used to it, but she really enjoyed it once she realized that she could splash around in the water like she does in her bathtub!

Hi Dad!

Chunky monkey!

P.S. The answer to today's quiz is "Still Not a Player" by Big Fun featuring Joe. Takes me back to high school nights at Del Taco (Irvine girls, you know what I'm taking about :).

So Cal Weekend

Last weekend Livvy and I headed down to So Cal for a visit with the grandparents and Felicia's pre-wedding festivities. It was my first time flying alone with the little miss, and while I was definitely nervous about traveling with just the two of us, things actually went quite smoothly. And let me just say that I absolutely LOVE Alaska Airlines. Not only did they rearrange seats on both of my flights to give me my own row (because, let's be honest, who really wants to sit with a newborn on an airplane?), they also carried all of my baggage for me both on and off of the plane. And Olivia even got a tour of the cockpit and met the pilots of our flight back up. The flight attendants were a bit obsessed with her (really, who isn't ;).

We discovered over the weekend that Olivia loves paper. Specifically, she adores the Nordstrom catalogue. Well, she is my daughter so it's really not all that surprising! Here she is checking out the latest fall fashions. I didn't have the heart to tell her that they don't really come in her size.

The little miss also had a great time helping Grandma read the comics.

Livvy loves spending time with Grandpa!

She also loves hanging out in her Bumbo, and is really getting into reaching for (and whacking at) toys!

Saturday we headed down to San Diego for Felicia's bachelorette party. I didn't get any pics because I used the free time that I got to hang out at the pool (thanks for babysitting mom!) and then Olivia decided that she was NOT in a party mood and we left in the late afternoon. Such is life with a three month old!

Sunday was Felicia's bridal shower. Here's the lovely bride to be with Jen and Melanie.

The lovely LA ladies.

After the shower I took Livvy over to my friend Erin's house. We're already playing matchmakers with Olivia and Dylan... I adore the way he's looking at her in this photo!

Of course, when meeting another baby one must shove their hand into their mouth.

Dylan gets in on the action.

Then the two of them start holding hands. I swear, they did this all on their own!

All of this action really wears a girl out.

(I wish that I could say that she slept like this the whole flight, but it was really only 15 blissful minutes before she woke up and demanded constant entertainment!)

Olivia and Andrea are outta town...

...So I am going to post something unrelated to the two.

My new car!

Subaru Outback 3.6R

No more Ford Tough :-(

Why a Subaru, you may ask? This will actually be my third Subie, first being a second gen outback, then this little guy after college....ah the memories.

Rainy Weekend

It's been a rainy few days here in the northwest. While I'm certainly not used to cool weather over Labor Day weekend, there has been one bonus to it: breaking out Olivia's fall wardrobe! How cute is she in her little Ralph Lauren sweatshirt?

Pretty sure that her favorite part of wearing a sweatshirt is the fact that she can get it into her mouth.

Itty bitty socks. Is there anything cuter???

In the past few days, Livvy has started to reach out for objects. It's so cool to see her realizing that her hands can actually DO things! Of course, as soon as she grabs something it immediately makes its way into her mouth.

We put little miss chunky monkey on the kitchen scale last night , and she's weighing in at about 13.5 pounds. She's growing like crazy, and it's hard to believe that next weekend she'll be 3 months old. How time flies!

On a totally separate note, it's looking like our house will be done at the beginning of October. We'll post remodel pictures soon - the cabinets and granite are all in, and the wood floor is being refinished this week. It's finally starting to look like a real house, and we can't wait for everyone to visit :).

Success!

She finally got 'em!

Doug has started calling her "chunky monkey". I think it's a pretty fitting description :).

(And yes, that is drool on on her face. She just started squirting it out like crazy the other day and it hasn't stopped since!)

Getting closer

The kitchen cabinets are all in, we are just waiting for the granite to be installed.

The wood floors have been installed and they will be stained next week. Appliances will get delivered that following Monday after the floors.

The bathrooms are getting closer with all of the tile coming in and being installed as I type this. I will show some more pics as they get more complete (right now its naked floor pans, etc).

The Iron staircase banister is installed and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

More to come....
