Our First Visitors

We had so much fun with Courtney and Parker last week! P-man is at a super fun age (16 months) and just started walking, so it was great to take him to kid-friendly places around Seattle and let him toddle around and explore. On Tuesday, we hit up the aquarium. Parker had a great time playing with fishies, both real and fake...

Wednesday we headed to the Children's Museum in downtown Seattle. It's right by the space needle, which I had never seen up close. I'm absolutely loving the fall colors on all of the trees - so beautiful!

The museum was actually pretty cool - lots of fun areas for the kids to run around and explore. I can't wait until Olivia is bigger and can get into stuff like this! This is what she did when we got there...

Notice the bib? I hate putting them on here but she drools so stinkin' much that I have to do it!

When she woke up she partook in her new favorite activity: finger gnawing.

Parker had so much fun walking around and checking everything out. I loved the "digestion" exhibit - totally sums up life with a small child.

The car was a big hit with P - it was pretty difficult to get him away from it!

We ran back to the car in a total rainstorm (of course, without jackets, umbrellas, or anything to protect the poor kiddos from the rain) only to discover a parking ticket on my windshield. Awesome. We were only 7 minutes late! Guess Seattle has to make money somehow, right? Anyhoo, we must have worn the little ones out, because when we got back to the house this is what we found in the backseat.

Parker got into my jewelry box later that afternoon (we're still living in a sea of boxes, but it's getting better! Baby steps.) I love a little boy in jewels.

We had such a fun week with Courtney and Parker. Can't wait to do it again sometime soon!!!

Remodel Pics

Anyone else hate how blogger uploads the photo order?

Anyways, the house is about 90% done right now. We still need to install our family room built-in cabinets, final coat on the hardwoods, install shutters, hang some lights, etc.

Andrea and I are both super stoked to call this home, we are that excited about what we have accomplished with the remodel.

The custom iron railing, the hardwood floor color, the paint colors, the granite tops, the kitchen backsplash, the master bathroom tile and feel...we just love everything!

4 Months!

It's hard to believe that Olivia will be 4 months old this coming weekend! Everyone told me that time flies with kids, and now I'm really starting to see where they're coming from. I think back to her first few weeks (and the days where I never thought that I would sleep again), and it's a distant memory at this point. Of course, she was an absolutely beautiful newborn, but I must admit that I'm liking this stage even better. It's so amazing to see her interacting with the world around her, smiling and giggling and trying to figure out how to use her hands to capture things that interest her (that is, when she's not attempting to shove her entire hand into her mouth).

Doug swears that she's a bit bigger every morning, and I have to agree...it's crazy looking at her newborn pictures and comparing them to more recent photos! She's literally doubled in weight in 4 months (we like to tell people that she's well-fed :).

Olivia is getting much stronger, and is really working to lift her head up and check things out when we put her on her stomach. It's only a matter of time before she starts crawling - you can tell that she's dying to figure out how to get herself around!

This kiddo is a spit factory. I think that I spend half of her waking hours mopping up her drool. I'm pretty sure that if we collected it all we could easily create a small lake.

It's gotten much chillier here in the past week. I think that fall is here to stay. Time to break out her winter wardrobe... and some tiny little socks :)

We are officially moving into our new house this weekend, so pictures to come next week when we're somewhat unpacked! We have visitors coming on Monday (Courtney and her adorable little man Parker), so I'm really looking forward to seeing them and spending time together as we settle into our new place.

Just heard the little miss wake up from her nap time. (Only 40 minutes. Ugh.) Byeee!

Right After a Nap

Bright-eyed and ready to go. Is there anything better?!?

Thanks to my SIL Erin for the adorable headbands... Love 'em!

David & Felicia Pines - 10/3/09

David and Felicia's wedding last weekend was absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, the lighting in the venue (the Ebell Club, a gorgeous historic building in Long Beach) didn't work well with Doug's camera (no flash), so I only have a few post-able pics. Good thing their wedding photographer got some amazing photos!

Could Fe be any more beautiful?!?

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Pines!

Happy Monday

We had a great weekend at Felicia and David's beautiful wedding in So Cal. Pictures to come soon, but I wanted to get something up here because I'm sure that you're sick of looking at the same post for a week now!

Livvy didn't attend this wedding (my parents thankfully took her for the evening so Doug and I could have a night to ourselves. Thanks guys!). But she sure did enjoy playing with my bouquet the next morning...

In other news, we're planning on (finally!!!) moving into our new house this coming weekend! There's still a bit of work to be done, but it's getting to a livable point. We're so excited, and I am beyond thankful for Doug putting so many long hours into this project over the past 4 months. He's truly done an amazing job, and I am so lucky to have him in my life :).
