Birthday Girl

Wishing my mom the happiest of birthdays!!! We are so lucky to have a mom (and now a grandma!) as wonderful as her :). We're celebrating with dinner at Javier's tonight... let's hope that Olivia cooperates and lets us enjoy our meal!

Ladies Who Lunch (And a Gentleman, Too!)

I have known Erin, her mom Gail, and Pilar ever since I moved to California when I was in the first grade, so it was so wonderful to have the opportunity to get together for lunch. Erin just had baby Dylan a few weeks back, so we had a lot of fun playing with our two little ones :). And of course, the moms had a blast stealing them away from us whenever they had the chance!

Olivia was hilarious - she was definitely aware of all of the girl talk going on around her and wanted to join in!

Auntie Courtney

Olivia was so happy that her Auntie Courtney came to town to visit her! We spent most of the time hanging out at the house and catching up, although we did manage to get down to the beach on Friday for lunch. I can't wait until we see Courtney, Budge and Parker in a few weeks in Pleasanton for Kelly's wedding! Thanks so much for visiting us :)

Playmat Time

Olivia is starting to become much more aware of the world around her, which is a lot of fun! She loves to lay on her playmat and talk to the animals, especially the toucan! Here's a video of her babbling away...

Sunday Dinner With the Pearlstein Family

My family gets together a few times a month for Sunday dinner at my parent's house. Since last Sunday was our last opportunity to do so while living in California (sniff, sniff), we headed down to Irvine for some family fun :).

Bathing Beauty

Dress Up Time!

This morning, I decided to torture...umm, I mean play dress up, with Olivia. After all, part of the fun of having a little girl is putting her in ridiculous outfits :). Anyhoo, I have been searching for a tutu for her to wear for some newborn photos we're having taken next week, and stumbled upon this little beauty yesterday while we were in Santa Monica looking for tile for our new kitchen. It's not exactly the one that I had in mind, so the tutu hunt continues (Doug probably thinks that I've lost my mind at this point!).

And now, I present to you Princess Olivia!!!



I know that I'm biased, but could she be any cuter?!?


While looking for a clean onesie (her third one of the day since she's quite a messy girl!), I discovered this lovely bow. It's practically as big as her head!





She will be four weeks old this Friday, and I really can't believe that much time has already gone by! Part of me wants to freeze time so she'll be my little peanut forever... but then again, eventually sleeping more than three hours at a time is sounding very appealing at this point :).
